Dispatcher:

This involves management of day-to-day stock, vehicle and drivers relevant to customer deliveries, and making sure all are efficiently and safely reaching their destinations in time.

The Role:

  • Customer focus; delivering effective logistics solutions by understanding the customer’s needs and developing relationships.
  • Managing focus; identifying, rerouting, reallocating, & managing activity to ensure delivery to a high standard of safety and service.
  • People focused; Working closely with the Operations Manager communicating details to the team as required.

Inventory co-ordinator:

Involves being responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of all physical fuel transactions that take place daily within an operational network.   The focus of this role is to administer all transactions with accuracy whilst ensuring depot gains and losses are minimized through working practices and collaboration with Operations Management.

The Role:

  • Responsible for 100% accuracy in customer delivery confirmations
  • Plays vital role in stock anomaly investigation in conjunction with Operational Management
  • Accurate entry of data and maintaining the integrity of records
  • Provide Commercial sales and Operational teams with proof of deliveries as and when required
  • Liaising regularly with Operational staff to ensure accurate usage of delivery confirmation procedures through online tracking reports and fleet automation processes

Transport Operations Administrator:

Provides critical, accurate and detailed administration support to dept, reporting to the Operations Support Manager.  This role involves multi-system interfacing by entering multiple sets of data into multiple platforms, enabling optimal output from SMEs within the UK Land Operations space.

The Role:

  • Critical HSE data input and reporting
  • Payroll administration activity
  • Reporting of near misses and unsafe sites
  • Book all supply liftings from terminals where required and where defined by planning
  • General report publishing to Operations, Logistics & HSE as directed by Operations Support Manager

Warehouse Logistics Manager

A Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the storage procedure runs smoothly.  This includes the storage logistics, overseeing warehouse workers, organising shift patterns and ensuring warehouse staff are from the complicated storage logistics, to keeping an eye on the warehouse workers – scheduling shifts and ensuring staff sufficiently trained.  As warehouses are often open around the clock, the role will enable flexibility of working hours, with overtime likely to be offered.  A Warehouse Manager will spend time in an office but also on the warehouse floor, providing variety in the role.

The Role:

  • Suitable processing of orders
  • Safe and appropriate storage of goods
  • Organisation of the dispatch and delivery of goods
  • Keeping up to date and maintaining health and safety standards
  • Ensuring staff are fully trained
  • Timesheet management
  • Shift organisation
  • Providing accurate records

Logistics and Distribution Manager

The role of a Logistics and Distribution Manager involves ensuring goods arrive at the right place, within the right time frame.  This includes the organisation and distribution of goods, ensuring the storage and distribution is cost effective.  The Logistics and Distribution Manager liaises with transportation, stock providers and the warehouse to monitor the distribution of goods. It is important that you understand how the entire supply chain is set up to effectively coordinate with each ‘link in the chain’.

The Role:

  • Competent use of IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
  • Manage staff resources, adapting as and when needs change
  • Negotiate with customers and suppliers
  • Analyse data to re-evaluate quality and performance needs to make improvements
  • Keep abreast of relevant legislation, changes in fuel costs and environmental pressures
  • Keep up to date and implement health and safety procedures
  • Manage staff training and motivate the team
  • Plan and manage projects
  • Plan routes for vehicles
  • Formulate updated supply strategies
